Down with Deadbeats

Parents not receiving child support unite against deadbeat parents.

Here is one for you. My order is in Florida, I now live in TN. Florida refuses to give me any information on my case and tell me to contact my state for the information. Well I call my local state and guess what, Florida will not respond to them what action are being taken on my case. Go figure. I called Florida 3 months ago and gave them 3 address (in Texas) that he may be at. Amazingly I found those online. I also gave them to TN. Still no response from FL. I have 4 children, he is suppose to be paying $1200/month. Well he now owes me, $32,771.81 and this order as only been in affect since 8/2005. I'm not getting anywhere with anyone. I hope that someone can give me another avenue to take. How can I get criminal charges on him for nonsupport. I know this can be done but who do I contact? Its so aggrevating that these workers say that they cant find him but I am giving them address that I know he is at as this is family. UGGG!!!! So frustrating as my children are doing without ALOT!!!

I pulled this off of the Federal Office of Child Support's Website:

If states are not working together successfully, our federal regional offices are available to try to facilitate the cases. We have ten regional offices around the country...see
https://ocse.acf.hhs.gov/int/directories/index.cfm?fuseaction=main....

You may also want to contact Project Save Our Children task force, contact Nick Soppa in OCSE at 202-401-4677 or email nicholas.soppa@acf.hhs.gov . This is a program for "Federal Evaders" , when the noncustodial parent has crossed state lines and owes over $5000. Definetly sounds like your case fits the profile!

This is a true story , My ex and I divorced in Mississippi and my ex moved to Arkansas , She bragged for several years that her case worker in Arkansas (Welfare,Food stamps,Etc) was telling her how to get away with not paying her support , I thought she was full of it or telling a lie until last year I received a call from a federal investigator asking me questions concerning my support case and as it turns out my ex was telling the truth , The worker in Arkansas was charged with altering case files to allow my ex to stay hid ,keep her driving privledges and not pay her support . It seems the worker didnt like the idea of working across state lines to force a woman to pay a man child support. My son to this day still has never received his support as my ex jumps the state border of Arkansas, Missiouri, and Oklahoma on a daily basis ,Lives on welfare and with what ever moron of a man that will put up with her . all the while my son suffers doing with out a mom . Truthfully I could use the money but I would trade every dime of it just if his mom would make a phone call, spend 5 min talking to my heartbroke child , Just once tell him she was wrong and loves him . Any way dont ever think that states willingly work together across state lines they dont and it seems some workers resent the extra work load ....

It does often seem that you have to choose between money or parental involvement. I'm sure all of us could use the money to help support our children, but money doesn't constitute being a good parent. Then there are those like us who don't get either from the other parent.
Did this Federal Worker only contact you to get information to prosecute the case worker or did they want to help you with your case too?

I was only questioned because I personally called the Arkansas worker to question why my case wasnt being followed thru after several rude conversations with her and being informed by the Arkansas csupport clearing house services that the workers had made no attempt to collect from my ex, even after my state had requested them to do so . I contacted the Federal Enforcement Agency and requested a investigation into the statements made by my ex and the lack of coperation on the part of the worker in Ark. I still to this day have never gotten my ex into an out of state court . I have a enforcable support order in Mississippi and my own state refuses to revoke her liscence because she no longer lives in this state.

I found these forms for the local State CSE Workers to give to The Project Save Our Children Task Force. Maybe if you print these out and bring them to your local worker, it may give them a clue.
