Yes, this is all in the same state- same county. Yes, his employment changed. He was fired from his job( he was denied unemployement benefits) but the state did not subpeana records. Anyway he currently is making $30,000 which is $10,000 less than at the time of our divorce. I however have manged to make $15,000 more so therefore there was a downward modification. However they did not take into account that he decided to buy a new car with a $528 car payment while he did not make child support payments. Well, so currently he has been paying his child support since December. I guess that is something. I just promise to keep on it. I was being a little sarcastic when i said my child will be 21 i think he will be 12 or 13 really, but he is only 4 now.
I didn't know they took your income into consideration when the other parent wants a modification. That sounds unfair to consider that, but not his new car. Especially since a new car is a want not a need. I know you will keep on!
